Tracing their history back to 1986, the Glasgow Tigers are one of the most historic American Football clubs in the country. Originally known as the Strathclyde Sheriffs, the team enjoyed early success with an undefeated season in 1988, going on to win the Caledonian Bowl.
The Sheriffs were renamed the Glasgow Tigers in 2002, with original Sheriffs players continuing to play an important role in the coaching and management of the team. Throughout the 2000’s, the team made four playoff appearances and clinched a division title in 2009.
The Tigers made an appearance in the end-of-season Bowl game in 2017 after a strong defensive showing propelled them through the regular season and post-season, giving up just 5.33 points per game and ranking as the #1 defense in the entire BAFA National Leagues.
